Glenn Ward
BPhty
Born and raised in Wellington, Glenn graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2005. Since then he has further trained up in manipulation therapy, trigger point dry needling and kinesio taping.
Glenn returned to us full-time in 2010 after a 2 year stint as the physiotherapist for the Wellington Rugby Academy. Here he rehabilitated players from injuries and also got a bit fancy by screening for biomechanical weakness.....i.e. predicting what would ping next. He also helped co-ordinate players fitness programmes aimed at preventing future injuries and improving performance, successfully slashing soft tissue injury rates.
Outside of Glenn’s work at Capital Sports Medicine, he is the current physiotherapist for the Wellington 7’s and the Norths Premier rugby teams. Glenn has previously worked with Wellington rugby teams, from the Under 19’s through to B levels, Northern Knights cricket and the Otago Woman’s Football Team.
Away from Physiotherapy, Glenn is a keen cricketer and avid indoor sports player. He is also in the process of improving his golf swing, as well as attempting to master the acoustic guitar.
